Below Deck Down Under Recap: Thin Ice
Lara and Tzarina’s feud is now starting to involve most of the crew, including Captain Jason.
Even when it comes to her romantic prospects, she shows restraint: She doesn’t want to rush into a new thing with Nate, who, over the course of this episode, comes into the galley approximately one million times to flirt with her. I put that in quotes because he is not wearing much, and there’s not a lot to designate his giraffe-ness besides Bri’s description of his “big, long, stiff … neck.” Following the truffle popcorn with Parmesan (kind of a silly “dish,” as it’s not much of a dish at all), Marina gives it her all as “contortionist,” and Nic does a pretty good bit as a “muscle man.” Before service started, Lara warned Tzarina that she was going to leave her radio behind the bar since she wasn’t wearing her earpiece, a mysterious, random, and surprisingly inefficient choice for a woman so concerned with efficiency. Though Lara doesn’t seem worried about the three extra minutes it takes to bring the food upstairs, Tzarina feels “forgotten” by the chief stew, which — as we’ve come to understand — is her biggest fear.
