Barbie Ferreira to Be Honored With Rising Star Award at Malta’s Mediterrane Film Festival
"Euphoria" star Barbie Ferreira will be honored with the Rising Star Award at the Golden Bee Awards at the third Mediterrane Film Festival in Malta.
Presenters for the awards gala on Sunday will include Anna Camp, Chris Perfetti, Karen Pittman, Jared Harris, Edmond Donovan and Joaquim De Almeida. Known for her role as Kat Hernandez in HBO’s “Euphoria,” Ferreira also starred in the 2024 comedy “Bob Trevino Likes It,” written and directed by Tracie Laymon and co-starring John Leguizamo. In addition to the Rising Star Award, the Golden Bee will recognize juried and honorary awards including Best Feature Film, Best Performance, Best Screenwriting, People’s Choice, Jury’s Choice, Mare Nostrum, Lifetime Achievement, Malta Film Legend and Career Achievement.
