Amazon MGM Studios’ Untitled ‘Cyrano Pop’ Movie Sets Michael Showalter As Director
Amazon MGM Studio's The Big Sick and The Idea of You filmmaker Michael Showalter is back with the theatrical streaming studio for an untitled pop movie inspired by Cyrano de Bergerac.
His previous feature films include Spoiler Alert, The Eyes of Tammy Faye, for which Jessica Chastain won the Academy Award for best actress, and The Big Sick, which received an Oscar nomination for Best Screenplay. Other recent television directing and producing credits include Happy Face for Paramount+, The Pradeeps Of Pittsburgh for Amazon MGM, I Love That For You for Showtime, Search Party for HBO Max, In The Dark for CW, and The Shrink Next Door for Apple TV+. Seigel recently wrote the screenplay for Focus Features’ The Silent Twins, which stars Letitia Wright and premiered at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival.
