Welsh TV star Alex Jones, has described her unlikely journey to becoming the host of The One Show, admitting that she had initially believed the BBC's job offer was a "wind-up". Chatting with Mark Wogan on his Spooning podcast, Alex revealed that she was first approached by The One Show producers in 2010, following the departure of then-hosts Adrian Chiles and Christine Lampard. Chris took an active role in helping Alex adapt to her newfound place in London's bustling media scene after Jason departed from the show: "We just got on like a house on fire and had the best time.
