Adolescence star Owen Cooper was all smiles as he collected the IndieWire Honor's Breakthrough Award in Los Angeles. The actor, 15, won global praise for his portrayal of child killer Jamie Miller.
So convincing is his chilling portrayal, that he has since landed himself a role as young Heathcliff in Emerald Fennell's Wuthering Heights adaptation, and is also set to feature in White Lotus star Amy Lou Wood's upcoming series Film Club. Variety reports that Stephen Graham, 51, who played Owen's dad in the show, could also be in the running for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series at this year's Emmy Awards Chatting to the publication alongside co-star Stephen Graham, who plays his dad Eddie in the show, the young actor revealed he had lots of attention from younger children as he returned to class on Monday.
