Actress raising $195,000 to 'cryogenically preserve' 13-year-old son's body after suicide
Clare McCann's son Atreyu, 13, was subjected to relentless bullying at school and was found dead at their home, and she hopes to bring him back to life ones day after scientific advances.
Ms McCann revealed the bullying began in Atreyu's first week at a Sydney high school and his suffering continued for months until he was found dead at home. Ms McCann, who is best known for her starring role in the Channel V series Blog Party, is an acclaimed journalist, filmmaker, and founder of the Sydney Women's International Film Festival. Ms McCann claims the bullying persisted with Atreyu being subjected to a racial slur during sport, and verbal taunts about his size and appearance, which relate to a congenital condition.
