‘Wicked’ TV Special Featuring Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo Sets Air Date

NBC's 'Wicked' TV special, featuring Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo, will air in November.

As the special is set to arrive two weeks before the premiere of sequel Wicked: For Good it’s only natural to assume the actors will also showcase new songs. For Good will also feature two new songs for Glinda and Elphaba, with Grande and Erivo both working alongside the musical’s original composer Stephen Schwartz. In an interview with Variety last year, Erivo called her tune “so special to me,” adding, “When we filmed it, the entire crew was in tears.
