‘The Bear’ Renewed For Season 5: Will Carmy Be Back?

Following the contentious Season Four finale, The Bear has officially been renewed for another round of culinary chaos.

“ The Bear continues to be a fan favorite worldwide and their response to this season—as seen through incredibly high viewership—has been as spectacular as any of its previous seasons,” said FX Chariman John Landgraf in a press release. Given the cliffhanger in the last season, it’s unclear who will return for the new chapter, and whether Carmen “Carmy” Berzatto (Jeremy Allen White), Sydney Adamu (Ayo Edebiri), Richard “Richie” Jerimovich (Ebon Moss-Bachrach), and the rest of the crew will reprise their roles. A Rolling Stone review by Alan Sepinwall of the season said that despite its runtime, the show “never seems padded because so much is happening” and that thanks to its characters and sharp writing is able to “feel real and honest,” keeping “a core of emotional truth to it, in the way that only the people we love the most can drive us that crazy.”
