‘Jeopardy!’ & ‘Wheel of Fortune’ War Heats Up As Sony Strikes Streaming Deals With Peacock & Hulu, Days After Judge Handed Back Rights To CBS
The legal battle between Sony and CBS has heated up with the former striking streaming deals, days after a judge handed back the rights to CBS.
host Ken Jennings, and 'Wheel of Fortune' hosts Vanna White and Ryan SeacrestCBS Sony has struck a number of multi-year streaming deals for the shows with Peacock, Hulu and Hulu on Disney+, which will allow these services to air both shows the day after their linear airing. Jeopardy!, which is hosted by Ken Jennings, is entering Season 42, while Wheel of Fortune, which is hosted by Ryan Seacrest and Vanna White, is entering Season 43. “We are thrilled to bring America’s favorite game shows to an even wider audience on Hulu, Hulu on Disney+, and Peacock,” said Keith Le Goy, Chairman of Sony Pictures Television.
