‘Blue Bloods’ Spinoff ‘Boston Blue’ Casts Gloria Reuben


Gloria Reuben has joined the cast of 'Boston Blue,' the upcoming 'Blue Bloods' spinoff on CBS.

The official description for the character reads, “The widow of a judge who was murdered on the courthouse steps, Mae is the matriarch of a blended family of law enforcement professionals: her daughter Lena (Sonequa Martin-Green) is a Boston Police Department detective, and her stepdaughter Sarah (Maggie Lawson) is the police superintendent. Reuben is best known for playing Jeanie Boulet on “ER,” which ran on NBC from 1994 to 2009 and earned her Emmy nominations in both 1997 and 1998. She recently appeared in the Amazon Prime Video thriller series “The Better Sister,” with other credits including the films “My Dead Friend Zoe” (2025), “Reasonable Doubt” (2014) and “Lincoln” (2012), as well as the TV series “Elsbeth,” “City on a Hill” and “Mr.
