‘Blade’ Writer Breaks Silence On Stalled MCU Reboot

The writer admitted that he was confused about how the MCU hasn’t managed to bring the project to light, especially with someone like Mahershala Ali attached to star as the titular day walker. With how hard it has been to nail a script down for the Blade reboot, some fans have suggested that David S. Goyer pick up the pen one final time to introduce the character in the MCU. Though even without David S. Goyer as a writer, it’s likely that Marvel will be kicking development on Blade into high gear as the MCU leaves the Multiverse Saga, with the lower stakes allowing Mahershala Ali plenty of space to be one of the franchise’s major stars.
