The 2025 Tony Awards just happened, and among this year’s nominees were Broadway actors Audra McDonald, Jeremy Jordan and Glee star Darren Criss. As you can tell by the title, the documentary showcases six songs by the famous lyricist: “Something’s Coming” from West Side Story; “Being Alive” from Company; “Opening Doors” from Merrily We Roll Along; and more. These songs are brilliantly staged, with standouts being Todd Haynes ’ idiosyncratic “I’m Still Here” with Jarvis Cocker and the moving “Send in the Clowns” with McDonald and Will Swenson.
