16 and Pregnant star Whitney Purvis 'missed son's funeral after showing up late when service had started'
Whitney welcomed Weston Jr. with her then-boyfriend Weston Gosa during season one of the MTV reality show, amid an on-off relationship during which they also had their younger son River, 11.
Weston Sr. disputes her version of events, insisting he told Whitney the viewing was at 2pm and the service would begin promptly at 4pm, but that she turned up after 4:15pm, at which point the chapel doors were locked, according to TMZ. The source in Whitney's camp said that when she arrived at the chapel in Georgia on Saturday she was told the service had already started at 2pm, and alleged further that her whole side of the family was refused entry to the event. When news of Weston Jr.'s death broke earlier this month, his stepmother Amy Gosa wrote on Facebook: 'We do not know the cause, they will do an autopsy soon but all we know is we got up this morning around 7 am and tried to wake him up, he was not breathing, we attempted cpr and called an ambulance.'
